The Government of Angola (Government) has received funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to cover the costs of the Science and Technology Development Project (STDP) and intends to apply part of this financing to the hiring of one (1) expert in civil engineering for the provision of qualified technical assistance to the Project Management Unit (PMU). The duration of the project is five-years from 2016-2021.
The services under this contract will consist of providing overall technical assistance to the construction of the Bengo technology park, from planning to implementation and monitoring. This will include: design, hiring and quality control of feasibility/technical studies, architectural and engineering designs proposed by consultants/contractors, according to the Client’s needs and applicable standards and regulations; participation in field technical verifications and supervisions; budget management; and risk management.
The Ministry of Science and Technology invites qualified individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide evidence of their qualifications (academic background, work experience, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.). The individual consultant should be fluent in Portuguese and English / French in all forms of communication.
The minimum qualification criteria and experience required for this position are: advanced university degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture or other relevant technical area and a minimum 10 years of professional experience at national and international levels.
